Finally understand why the other person thinks, feels and reacts the way they do.
Tell us what is going on and get an honest reflection right away: what lies beneath the surface, and whether a conversation with the other person is worthwhile.
Online conflict mediation focused on reconciliation, for couples, families and colleagues.
Two ways, your choice
1. Reflect, on your own
Tell us for free what is going on and get an honest reflection: what lies beneath the surface, and whether a conversation with the other person is worthwhile. Want to go deeper, with a concrete action plan? That is available for €2.99.
2. Talk it through together
Each of you fills in a questionnaire separately. We place both sides next to each other in one honest, shared document. From €4.99, including a follow-up document.
We try to understand each other
We try to understand each other, but that is not always easy. Especially when it comes to truly grasping what is going on for the other person and what they feel, something often slips away. Not because we do not care, but because we rarely take the time to stop and think about it together.
Research from the University of Chicago showed that couples and close friends did not understand each other better in conversations than complete strangers did, even though they were convinced that they were understood.
Middlepoint gives that time back. Start with a free, personal reflection and first find out for yourself what is going on. Does a conversation turn out to be worthwhile? Then each of you tells your side of the story separately, in peace and quiet, and we place both sides next to each other in a clear, honest document.
In doing so we always choose honesty over false balance. We treat both sides with equal respect, but we do not pretend that everyone is always equally right. Not to be proven right, but to understand each other again.
"I have explained it a hundred times, but it just does not get through."
"I really want to understand, but I simply see it differently."
One method, applicable everywhere
Couples & family
Recurring arguments that never really get resolved. Answer separately, understand together.
Family & friends
Old wounds or a friendship that cooled down. Several people can take part, with the option to share sensitive points anonymously.
Neighbours
Noise, boundaries, habits that clash. An honest overview often works better than an angry letter in the mailbox.
Work & HR
An HR employee starts a conversation between two colleagues as organiser and uses the overview as an objective basis.
Schools
A teacher mediates between students, aimed at understanding instead of punishment.
Therapists & lawyers
Send the questionnaire to the parties involved in advance. Begin the first session with the full picture already on the table.
Something else
Does your situation not fit one of these categories? Describe it briefly when you start. Middlepoint adapts the questions.
